Tahini Honey Fruit Bites: No-Bake Snack Bars for Busy Days

Munchkin loves tahini. Anything made with tahini is a big hit in our house.

Tahini is a smooth paste made from ground sesame seeds. Although I come from a culture that frequently uses sesame oil and sesame seeds, I only discovered tahini a few months ago. It quickly became a staple in my kitchen, and I now go through a jar roughly every two weeks. Tahini is creamy without the overpowering flavor that some nut butters have, and it’s naturally nut-free. Because many schools require nut-free lunches, tahini is a great substitute for nut butter in many recipes.

For this simple afternoon snack, I mix tahini with honey and a pinch of salt. I use a 2:1 ratio of tahini to honey. Spread the mixture on bite-sized toast and top with sliced fruit for a quick, satisfying treat.
