Check out these Ridiculously Simple Mini Mummy Legs — a playful, easy Halloween dinner served with creepy zombie fingers that the whole family will love.

I adore Halloween and I’m always looking for fun, delicious ways to celebrate with themed food. October is our month to get creative: my kids brainstorm spooky ideas and we turn them into tasty dishes. This year they requested mummies — specifically chicken mummies — and I found a fast shortcut that made the whole idea effortless.

Mini Mummy Legs–Ridiculously Simple

These mini mummy legs are adorable and incredibly simple to make. I used fully cooked, fire-grilled chicken drumsticks for a quick base — the grill flavor locks in juices and gives great taste. Using pre-cooked dark-meat drumsticks is a real time-saver and lets you focus on the spooky presentation.

To assemble the mummy legs, I cut store-bought crescent roll dough into thin strips and wrapped them loosely around each drumstick to resemble bandages. I used Wildflower Honey BBQ drumsticks for a sweet-savory flavor, but any seasoned drumstick will work.

Pop them in the oven and heat according to the package directions for the chicken and the crescent dough. When they come out golden and bubbly, you’ll have instant mini mummy legs — festive, tasty, and kid-approved.

Of course, no Halloween spread is complete without something creepy-cute on the side, so we made simple Zombie Fingers as a quick appetizer.

For the zombie fingers, mix a few drops of green food coloring into softened cream cheese for a ghastly green filling. Spread the colored cream cheese into celery sticks for crunch, and top each end with a slice of black olive to mimic a fingernail. They’re fast, healthy-ish, and perfectly themed.

If you enjoy dark-meat drumsticks, consider ready-to-heat fire-grilled options sold in the freezer aisle — they come fully cooked and make busy nights easy. Pair them with wrapped crescent dough and a few simple sides and you’ve got a festive meal ready in minutes.
