I’m excited to share this simple, delicious recipe for vegan chocolate sea salt pretzel bark. It uses only five ingredients and comes together in minutes, making it the perfect quick dessert or freezer treat to have on hand.

After most meals I crave a small chocolate bite, and this pretzel bark fits the bill perfectly. It’s easy to make, stores well in the freezer, and balances salty and sweet in every bite.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’ve been thinking about chocolate a lot. Robbie usually brings home something sweet, but homemade sea salt pretzel bark is my favorite gift — nothing store-bought compares.

Flaked sea salt is one of my go-to finishing touches for desserts. The flakes cut through the sweetness of chocolate and create a lovely flavor contrast; the saltier bites are my favorite.

For this batch I used Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract. Nielsen-Massey uses a cold extraction process that preserves the full complexity of vanilla, giving their extracts a rich, authentic flavor. Their Madagascar Bourbon extract is sweet and creamy, and works beautifully in both sweet and savory recipes. The brand is family-owned and offers all-natural, GMO-free, certified gluten-free, Kosher, and allergen-free products.

The vanilla adds a subtle layer of warmth and depth. After melting the chocolate with coconut oil, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla for best results.

I like to add roughly chopped gluten-free pretzels into the chocolate for extra crunch, then top the bark with whole pretzels and a generous sprinkle of flaked sea salt before setting. That mix of textures makes each bite satisfying.

Pop the pan in the freezer for about an hour, or until set. Once firm, break the bark into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer for easy snacking.

Just five ingredients, naturally vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free when using gluten-free pretzels. This recipe is ideal for parties, gifts, or a quick chocolate fix pulled from the freezer.

Freezer-friendly sweets like this are my favorite to keep on hand for quick indulgences. Give this pretzel bark a try — it couldn’t be easier to make!
