With football season and gatherings coming up, it’s great to have an easy, crowd-pleasing snack ready. This Crockpot Chex Mix is simple to prepare, highly customizable, and stores well in airtight containers for later snacking.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Cheerios cereal
  • 3 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 can mixed nuts
  • 1 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Combine the Corn, Rice, and Wheat Chex, Cheerios, pretzel sticks, and mixed nuts in a 6-quart (or larger) slow cooker.
  • Whisk together the vegetable oil (or melted butter), Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Pour the mixture evenly over the cereal and snack mix and stir to coat thoroughly.
  • Cook uncovered on high for about 90 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching and to ensure even coating.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook for an additional 20 minutes, continuing to stir often.
  • Spread the finished mix on a cookie sheet to cool completely before storing. Gluten Free variations below.
  • To make this mix gluten free: use gluten-free pretzels, replace the Wheat Chex with additional Rice Chex, and swap Cheerios for your preferred gluten-free O-shaped cereal.
