Coco Laptop Case: Stylish Protective Sleeve for Everyday Use

This week’s update will be brief. A large flock of blackbirds has discovered my feeder and is dominating it. I’m not biased against any species, but these birds are so aggressive they practically clear the feeder—other, gentler birds don’t get a chance. I find myself running outside every few minutes to clap and shoo them away so the finches, cardinals and woodpeckers can dart in for a quick nibble before the blackbirds return.

Last week I showed how Luxie curled up to fit neatly on my laptop case. This week, Coco demonstrates a very different approach: she prefers a more casual, loose interpretation of “lying on the laptop case.”

Luxie then arrives to demonstrate the proper technique. For context: this is where I plan meals and write my grocery list, which explains the store ad on the table. I use the laptop to look up recipes and organize the menu in Evernote, while the iPad lets me browse cookbooks saved in iBooks. What should be a simple planning session becomes delightfully complicated with two cats supervising.

Because these particular photos weren’t ideal for subtle editing, I ran a different photo of Luxie through Topaz Labs for a more artistic result. If you look closely in the edited image you’ll notice a Mary lamp and an old Trader Vic’s cocktail book—little eclectic touches that say a lot about our home.
